Newcastle United members getting home tickets ballot ‘success’ rates match by match published by club
The club have published information on ‘success’ rates for Newcastle United members, when it comes to getting hold of tickets for matches at St James’ Park this season.
The success rates relate to home matches from August to December 2025.
So listed below are the opening 15 matches played at St James’ Park this season,, in all competitions.
It doesn’t include the most three against Palace, Leeds and Bournemouth.

The club’s official release on Monday (12 January 2026) stating: ‘Tickets are first made available during the [Newcastle United] members’ ballot application process. Then, upon the conclusion of the ballot, there is an opportunity for those who were unsuccessful to buy during our Members’ sale or through our official resale platform.

Newcastle United stating: ‘Similarly, demand for away tickets is high. Tickets are sold in line with our loyalty points system, whereby fans accrue a loyalty point for every away match they attend. Following fan consultation, ID checks on away tickets were introduced in the 2023/24 season to maintain the integrity of the loyalty points system and to act as a deterrent for passing tickets on. Following supporters’ feedback, ticketing forwarding was introduced for the 2024/25 season to help those who encounter last minute emergencies and ensure no seat is left unused.’

Today seeing the club also release stats when it comes to home matches and their ‘Touting investigations’ regarding games at St James’ Park.
The official club statement saying: ‘We closely monitor online activity so that we can identify suspicious season ticket and member accounts and take appropriate action. This includes the use of sophisticated technology that identifies bots and blocks their access to our systems. To support this, we carry out an intelligence-led operation at every match at St. James’ Park. This involves us blocking access at turnstiles for specific tickets that we believe may have been sold or shared without authority, and we carry out ID checks. Where proof of touting can be secured, season ticket and member accounts are cancelled without refund.’

The club also stating that in the 2025/26 season to date: ‘Online accounts being monitored due to suspicious activity: 4,290’ and ‘Online accounts cancelled for touting: 610’
In this official release, club CEO David Hopkinson saying: “We are committed to ensuring our ticket processes are fair, accessible and trusted, and we will continue to communicate and engage with supporters as we evolve our approach.”
Newcastle United stating that their approach to ticketing is ‘underpinned by three key principles.’
Those three ‘key principles’ claimed to be (System and process) ‘We follow a process to ensure consistency is applied with all ticketing decisions’, (Access and fairness) ‘We ensure a fair approach when selling tickets’. (Consultative evolution) ‘We consult with supporters on ticketing changes.’
