Things now look a lot clearer with the completion of this seventh round of games.
What it now means for Newcastle United?
The Newcastle 3 PSV 0 result has guaranteed that as a minimum, Eddie Howe’s team will have a two leg play-off for a place in the last 16 knockout stages.
Whilst with such a dominant goal difference compared to the other teams on 13 points, Newcastle United will in reality be guaranteed a top eight automatic qualifying spot if winning against PSG in Paris next Wednesday.
