‘This Newcastle United match is best I have seen in last decade’ Peter Bosz

Peter Bosz will see his PSV Eindhoven team take on Newcastle United on Wednesday night.

The reigning Dutch champions made it 13 league wins in a row on Saturday, winning 2-1 away at Fortuna Sittard to go 16 points clear at the top of the Eredivisie.

PSV Eindhoven reached the last 16 of last season’s Champions League but ahead of this seventh round of matches, found themselves in 22nd place in the Swiss League phase.

Peter Bosz knowing his team will go ahead of Newcastle United though, if adding another three points to their current eight points total.

Ahead of the match at St James’ Park, the PSV head coach stating at his pre-match press conference: “We have played against teams that play with intensity, so we are used to it.”

Newcastle United are unbeaten in eight Premier League home matches, winning six and drawing two.

The most recent of those St James’ Park Premier League games, was a 4-3 home win over Leeds United, when NUFC trailed three times.

Peter Bosz saying about that Newcastle win over Leeds: “It’ is the best game I have seen in the last decade. That is how football should be played.”

Also speaking ahead of tomorrow night’s match was Joey Veerman, the PSV midfielder, who said about Sven Botman: “I know him from our time together at SC Heerenveen and we’ve always kept in touch. You don’t always get that in football, but with Sven, you do. It’s great to play against each other tomorrow.”
