Full Carabao Cup semi-final draw details including ball numbers after Wednesday update
A Wednesday morning update finalising the Carabao Cup semi-final draw.
This announcement coming with three of the quarter-finals still to play.
Tuesday night saw Chelsea change their entire team but still get through to the last four.
League One Cardiff City had more than held their own but poor defending gifted Chelsea a 57th minute lead.
Cardiff though battled away and more than deserved their equaliser with quarter of an hour remaining. Just when it looked though that penalties could decide it, instead two late Chelsea goals sealed it.
Ahead of the other three games though, these final Carabao Cup semi-final draw details released.
The ball numbers revealed as follows…
Number One is Chelsea
Number Two is Manchester City or Brentford
Number Three is Newcastle United or Fulham
Number Four is Arsenal or Crystal Palace
Tonight, Manchester City v Brentford is a 7.30pm kick-off.
That followed by Newcastle v Fulham which is an 8.15pm kick-off on tonight and following the conclusion of this St James’ Park match, the Carabao Cup semi-final draw will be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event.
The official EFL announcement on Wednesday morning says that Sky Sports presenter Simon Thomas will be hosting the draw. With alongside him, former players Jamie Redknapp and Michael Brown.
Arsenal v Palace is an 8pm kick-off next Tuesday (23 December).
The semi-final first leg ties will take place in the week commencing 12 January 2026, with the second leg fixtures to be played in the week commencing 2 February 2026.
The final is even later this year (used to be late February), to be staged at Wembley on Sunday 22 March 2026.
