Newcastle United official announcement as duo move to Valley Parade on loan

Bradford City have signed this Newcastle United duo on loan.

An official announcement from NUFC on Tuesday morning confirming that both Harrison Ashby and Joe White have moved on loan to Valley Parade.

Newcastle United stating: ‘White, who recently returned to the club following a loan spell with Leyton Orient, joined United’s Academy in 2016 and progressed through the ranks via loan spells with Orient, Hartlepool United, Exeter City, Crewe Alexandra and MK Dons. He made his first-team debut for the Magpies in a 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth in February 2024. Ashby, meanwhile, joined the club in January 2023 from West Ham United and made 31 appearances in all competitions last season while on loan with Queens Park Rangers.’

It looks a decent move for the pair.

Bradford City could be a Championship club next season, as they are currently third in the table and have a game in hand on the others at the top.

Cardiff City top on 52 points, Lincoln 48 points, then Bradford 46 points but with that game in hand.

Probably a great end result for both clubs and the two players, if the pair can play a decent part in helping Bradford City getting the promotion and then signing permanent deals.

These are the second and third transfers from St James’ Park to Valley Parade this season, as the giant Alexander The gReAT flag was gifted by Wor Flags to the Bradford City fans, to be used in honour of their manager Graham Alexander, with NUFC fans no longer having any use for it… (Don’t know who Wor Flags can find to take this one above?!!)
