This is how the Premier League form table looks on Thursday morning.

Newcastle United now five months into their season.

A busy time with already 32 games played this season in all competitions.

A packed schedule with Newcastle United having been playing every midweek as well as weekends, other than during the ‘breaks’ for internationals.

Now we head towards Sunday’s Newcastle United match away at Wolves, a 2pm kick-off.

As you can see, Newcastle United are seventh in this newly updated Premier League form table.

In the Premier League form table over the last half dozen, NUFC with ten points from three wins, one draw and two defeats, with eleven goals scored and eight conceded.

As for Newcastle’s opponents on Sunday, these are the last six PL matches that Wolves have played, the very most recent listed first:

Everton 1 Wolves 1

Wolves 3 West Ham 0

As you can see, Wolves are rock bottom in the full Premier League table, 25 points and 14 places behind Newcastle United.

However, both performances and results have markedly improved for Wolves very recently.

After picking up only two points in their opening 18 Premier League matches, Wolves have then managed five points from their most recent three.

It will still take a miracle to save them this season but at least Wolves can realistically think they can avoid the tag of worst ever in Premier League history, Derby County with 11 points currently holding that record.

Newcastle United have scored nine goals in their last three Premier League matches and with Wolves having conceded 23 goals in their ten home PL games so far. Even though Wolves have shown signs of life recently, United should still be able to score the goals that can take this game away from the hosts at Molineux.
