Now made public how long Tino Livramento is set to be unavailable for
Tino Livramento was forced off the pitch on Saturday due to picking up an injury in the FA Cup win over Bournemouth.
The defender filling in on the left to give Lewis Hall a shift off.
However, Hall having to replace his United and England teammate in the 59th minute.
It looked to be a bad hamstring injury when Tino Livramento limped off.
Now on Tuesday there has been a major update, making public how long the former Southampton player is set to be out for.
Keith Downie covers Newcastle United for Sky Sports and he has reported that Tino Livramento had a scan on Monday and the club have the results.
Downie stating that Tino is expected to be out now for around eight weeks.
The Sky Sports man adding that this could mean Tino Livramento is set to miss up to 15 games.
Keith Downie adding that his understanding is that Fabian Schar is expected to be out for three months, having got injured during the win over Leeds.
There is an international break in just under ten weeks time, this comes after the weekend of Saturday 21 March 2026.
That weekend, Newcastle are due to play Sunderland in the Premier League, but if United get past Manchester City in the semi-final, they will be in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday 22 March.
The Sky Sports man says that with these two injuries: “Newcastle United are weighing up whether to dip into the transfer market for a defender, and there is a decent chance [that they will do].”
