Everton fans with comments both before AND after Everton 1 Newcastle 4 on Saturday.

As usual, they don’t let us down!

The bile, childish insults….a joy, as always.

Of course, the comments from Everton fans that were made before the 4-1 hammering are particularly special!

Everton fans commenting via their Grand Old Team message board, before and after this Everton 1 Newcastle 4 match:

EVERTON FANS PRE-MATCH:

‘I’m excited. Very excited.

Lets ride the hot hand .

The champions league chasing toffees at home to the horse punchers under the lights.

It will be rocking.

We will need to make at least one change with our super middle weight suspended.

Hopefully someone smashes Gordon too the ginger rat.

Lets smash these Geordie beauts.

Up the Hill Dickinson Toffees .’

‘We will be well up for this!

At the moment, we are only 3 points from 4th.’

‘Very good chance of a third straight win. I think this will be easier to win than Forest so need to take advantage.

Woltemede’s done well so far but think the CBs can handle him’

‘Important game for us. A win really sets us up going into December.’

‘One of those where we need to set the tone. If they are overwhelmed away from home they tend to fold, hence their away record. ‘

‘Quite confident we can win this one’

‘Early goal and a robust singing of the Pickford song would be the ideal start.’

‘Barry to hit a hat trick as we smash these.’

‘Hill Dickinson Stadium will roar with the strength, power and ferocity of a Terangan lion for this one !

We love you Everton !’

Newcastle prob have one of the best midfields in the league, also Livramento and Hall were back last week, they change them completely.’

‘Saturday night under the lights. Two wins on the bounce. The HD should be bouncing for this.’

‘We can give them a hiding.’

‘Nothing to fear, we are very good when in the right frame of mind.’

‘We’ll murder them, almost feel sorry for them.’

‘Not saying we are world beaters but just cant see how newcastle are favourites with the bookies for this one.’

EVERTON FANS POST-MATCH:

‘That was embarrassing.’

‘That was something of an education for us. As usual we are too slow in possession while Newcastle moved the ball with speed. Having the ball for long periods is no use if you do nothing with it.’

‘I woke up with a headache. I realise it was because of the thud back down to earth after earlier in the week.’

‘Newcastle really weren’t anything special

We were just spectacularly bad.’

Malick Thiaw Goal Celebration Hall Miley Newcastle

‘Newcastle were well drilled, competent in possession and everything else you’d expect a premier league side to be.’

‘They capitalised on a few things.

We don’t attack the ball well on deliveries to the front post. They couldn’t believe their luck.

Seeing our lack of pace they put Elanga in place to get behind the midfield and break at the defence from the off. The side was clearly uneasy about this threat and it simply never got addressed or dealt with.

They were composed in midfield and could up the tempo when they wanted, we had our versatile midfielder and an impact sub signed on psr up against their Brazil international starting midfielders.’

‘The main difference was that when we had possession, all players stood still and expected the man in possession to do all the movement with the ball and find them.

When they had the ball, they were all constantly on the go and moving into the pockets. Their midfield were constantly moving off the ball.’

‘They continually looked to get a foot race going with Elanga. It meant their variations in play were always a step ahead because we were always waiting for that ball to be played. We don’t have the luxury of options in the starting eleven, never mind the means of players to change things off the bench.’

Everton Fans Empty Seats 71 MInutes

‘it just baffles me how we went from the loudest FORVER EVERTON we’ve had at the new ground to being 1-0 down within a minute

all that intensity and atmosphere popped.

players looked leggy and outmatched physically by newcastle

livramento and hall are two absolute units at full back, how do we get a couple of these?’

‘The game was over after 50 seconds, that’s the reality. I had barely sat down and I knew it was done. Terrible.’

‘Why on earth we insist from the kick off to go all the way back to the goal keeper so he can lump it up the pitch is just beyond me. Can’t recall any of the top teams doing it, they just play forwards as a team. Not a surprise we were immediately under the cosh because from our own kickoff we basically just gave Newcastle the ball with all our outfield players at the wrong end of the pitch when we lost it. Baffling.’

‘Only 4 clubs have won the league more times than us and we have been an ever present in the Premier League, unlike the likes of Newcastle.’

‘They are joint on points with us.’

‘They are also in the Champions league for the second time in last 3 seasons, won a trophy and just slapped us.’

‘A lot of their players took time to settle.

Gordon barely played in his first 6 months.

Hall and livramento were bit part players in their first seasons for them.

They have built them in to the teams over time. (Like we should be doing with Dibling and Aznou etc)

But they also spent £300m without selling anyone initially on a load of ready made experienced players to drag them up the table.’

‘Problem was, and anyone who watched us win at Wolves would had known this, once Gana goes off we go to pieces against an half decent midfield. Newcastles central Midfield was far too powerful for ours, with Bruno and joelinton.’

‘Missed the match, thankfully.’

‘Around half the fans at the ground missed most of the game too, shocking.

Sorry, but walking out on the players is just awful.’
